Repotting
On the 14th March 2017 I repotted this into its new pot from walsall ceramics, I reduced the rootball by about 50%:
Winter Cutback
On the 19th January 2017 I cut back all the thicker branches and ant wigs to two to improve ramification. The tree bleed a lot and would prob have been better don’t just after leaf drop but I didn’t have time.
Thinning JM in May
This tree is too dense and the interior shoots are weak and yellow (first pic). To let more light into the inner parts of the tree, I need to reduce every pair of leaves to one and cut the remaining leaf in half, this process take a good 6 hours on this tree which I have to do over a few days after work.

Same again next year.
Spring Trim
Today I went through the trea and trimmed all the shoots and cut all the large leaves to open up the tree a little. I also straightened the lower left branch a bit:

Bought this JM off Alan Harriman who used to own China Mist (Bonsai Pot maker) for £600.This is it in the boot of my car 6th April 2014:

I had a attack of black fly, they sit on the stalks and under the leaves and suck the sap out of the tree which effects the leaves, especially the internal leaves. Picture taken 1st May 2014
So I treated it with Systemic Insecticide call Provado and defoliated to start all over again. Defoliation took three sessions or about 5hrs! pic taken 5th May 2014:
The tree was healthy and should push out a new flush of leaves within a few weeks.
